Tanya Boychuk

Tanya Boychuk is a standout forward making waves in women’s soccer. In 2024, she was the top scorer for Vittsjö GIK in the Damallsvenskan, netting 7 goals and providing 2 assists in 25 appearances. Highlights of her season include scoring the decisive goal against KIF Örebro and opening the scoring in a crucial win against AIK. Her versatility, leadership, and goal-scoring ability made her a cornerstone of her team. 

Before her success in Sweden, Boychuk excelled with Throttur Reykjavik FC in Iceland in 2023, scoring 6 goals and winning Goal of the Year honors. She began her professional career after a stellar collegiate experience at the University of Memphis, where she captained her team, won multiple conference championships, and received All-Conference and All-American honors. One of her standout moments was winning the conference tournament in penalty kicks, showcasing her leadership. 

On the international stage, she represented Canada at the U-20 CONCACAF Championships in 2018 and 2020 and was called up to the senior national team in 2022. As a multi-sport athlete, she also excelled in diving, earning several provincial and international medals. 

Deeply connected to her Ukrainian roots, Tanya is a polyglot and committed to inspiring the next generation. Joining the Montréal Roses in the Northern Super League marks an exciting new chapter for her, as she’s passionate about advancing women’s soccer in Canada. Tanya aims to help the Roses build a winning culture, fill the stands, and contribute to meaningful change in the sport.
