A stoppage-time equalizer from DB Pridham salvaged a 3-3 draw for Ottawa Rapid FC against Vancouver Rise FC on Saturday night at Swangard Stadium. In a back-and-forth contest featuring six goals and plenty of attacking flair, both sides left with a point but will feel they could have taken all three.

Ottawa struck first in the 14th minute when Pridham, the league’s leading goal scorer, latched onto a low cross and finished from close range to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. The advantage lasted just two minutes before Vancouver’s Quinn found space in the box and fired home to make it 1-1.

The Rapid regained the lead in the 22nd minute through Choo Hyo-Joo’s composed finish, only for the Rise to answer again before halftime. In the 39th minute, Lisa Pechersky pounced on a loose ball in the area and slotted it past the keeper to level the score at 2-2.

The second half began with Vancouver on the front foot, and they were rewarded in the 59th minute when Holly Ward put the hosts ahead for the first time on the night.

Vancouver looked poised to claim all three points, but Ottawa refused to concede. Deep into stoppage time, Pridham rose above the defence to head home her second goal of the match, securing a dramatic equalizer in the 97th minute.
