Halifax Tides FC showed resilience on Saturday evening, rallying in the second half to secure a 1-1 draw against Montréal Roses FC at Wanderers Grounds. Latifah Abdu struck early for the Roses, but Amanda Allen’s well-placed finish in the 73rd minute ensured the points were shared in front of the home crowd.

The visitors wasted little time in making their mark. In the 4th minute, Abdu latched onto a quick pass through Halifax’s defensive line and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper to give Montréal a 1-0 advantage.

Halifax grew into the game as the first half progressed, matching Montréal’s tempo and pressing higher up the pitch, but the Roses’ organized backline kept the hosts from creating clear chances before the break.

Allen’s Equalizer Keeps Halifax in the Fight
After halftime, Halifax began to assert themselves, pushing for the leveller. Their patience paid off in the 73rd minute when Allen found space inside the box and fired home to make it 1-1, sparking roars from the home supporters with her first NSL goal after joining the squad in the summer transfer window.

Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but disciplined defending and strong goalkeeping at each end kept the scoreline locked. The result leaves Montréal unbeaten in their last four outings, while Halifax snapped a two-game losing streak.
