Partnership brings industry-leading imaging technology to the league’s visual storytelling, elevating player visibility and capturing the growth of professional women’s soccer in Canada.

The Northern Super League (NSL) today announced Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, as its Official Imaging Partner, bringing together two organizations committed to the power of visual storytelling to elevate the profile of women’s sport. Through the partnership, Canon’s professional imaging technology will support official league photography and videography across NSL markets, helping increase the visibility of its players, clubs and competition as professional women’s soccer continues to grow in Canada.

The collaboration will equip official league photographers and videographers with Canon’s latest EOS R system cameras and RF lenses. This partnership leverages industry-leading imaging technology to capture the action, personalities and stories that define the NSL, creating compelling visual content that connects fans with the game and the athletes behind it.

As the league continues to build its national profile and commercial platform, the partnership demonstrates how strategic brand collaborations can help deepen fan engagement, strengthen player recognition and expand the reach of professional women’s soccer in Canada.

“Building a sustainable professional league means working with partners who bring more than brand support—they bring expertise that helps us grow the game,” said Marianne Brooks, Senior Vice President, Partnerships, Northern Super League. “Canon’s imaging technology will strengthen how we tell the stories of our players and clubs, creating new opportunities to connect with fans and expand the visibility of women’s soccer across Canada.”

“Sport is a powerful platform for visual storytelling, connecting audiences to the emotion, skill, and personalities behind the competition,” said Brett Gaskell, Senior Director, Marketing, Canon Canada. “Canon Canada has always been deeply rooted in the communities we call home. Through our partnership with the Northern Super League, we are proud to equip storytellers with the industry’s most trusted imaging ecosystem, ensuring the historic moments of Canadian women’s soccer are shared with hometown fans across the country.”

The partnership comes as the NSL enters the decisive stage of its 2026 season, with the Championship Playoffs kicking off October 31 and the NSL Final presented by BMO set for November 14 in Ottawa. As the league’s top clubs compete for the Diana B. Matheson Cup, the final weeks of the season will provide an opportunity to showcase the players, clubs and competition at the heart of Canadian professional women’s soccer.
